Co-authored with Dr. Seyedahmad Rahimi, the paper examines how digital learning environments assess computational thinking (CT) and how assessments can move beyond surface-level scoring toward deeper insights into students\u2019 CT skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n<li><div class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__featured-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/classlab.site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/smartflash_award-150x150.png\" class=\"attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail wp-post-image\" alt=\"\" style=\"\" \/><\/div><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/classlab.site\/?p=410\">SmartFlash project wins Emerging Learning Technology Award at AECT 2025<\/a><div class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-full-content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CLASS Lab member Salah Esmaeili and his team received an award for the SmartFlash project at the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) 2025 International Convention in Las Vegas. The work, co-developed with Hai Li, Nazanin Adhami, and Hongming Li, received the Emerging Learning Technology Award, presented by the Division of Emerging Learning Technologies (DELT). The award honors innovative approaches to integrating new technologies into learning and teaching.
